Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been mystified by fairy tales of faraway lands. From the Chronicles of Narnia to Gulliver’s Travels, the notion of a place far an away captivated me. After graduating from Wittenberg University in 2009, I was deeply compelled to explore the world outside of my comfort zone. I spent a year volunteering in AmeriCorps, helping inner city youth apply and make the transition to college. After that, I was off to South Korea. I wanted to experience fully being immersed in a culture that was not my own. For nine years, I have taught TEFL level English at various academies in Seoul. During that time I was bitten by the filmmaking bug. In many ways making films is like being able to travel to a different land without having to be so far away from friends and family here in Ohio. Now that I’m back in Cleveland, I look forward to taking others to new places through the powers of storytelling and film.
