Since I was a boy I have learned that sensible investing, hard work and discipline is what it takes to get what you want in life. A family trip to Disneyland when I was 9yrs old, courtesy of the profits realised through the sale of some gold shares by my father was proof enough to me that a commitment to these principles works. Learning lessons like this first hand means I now apply them across everything I do. I make a living out of helping people who want the freedom and choice to get on and do what they want without angst or having to worry about their money or their investments. Success requires persistence and dedication, things I learnt through my AFL football career. If I didn’t perform, I was out. These invaluable lessons translate into my life today and in particular as a business owner and adviser. I work with successful individuals who want better results than what they are getting today. After completing my MBA and having a stint working as a business consultant in Italy in 2003, I’ve found building a credible wealth management business to be the perfect challenge to fill the void left after retiring from my football career. Coupling my life skills with over seventeen years in financial services, specialising in investment strategy development and management, I'm well positioned to assume the important responsibility of actively managing and growing the financial assets of my clients. This provides them with the freedom to get on and do the things they would prefer to be doing. This has never been more important to me since having my two boys. They are constant reminders of what life is really about. There is nothing more satisfying than spending time with them and my wife.I still love sport, and retain my love for the Geelong Football Club as a proud member. I enjoy nothing more than watching 'The Cats' go about it the way they do, particularly now with my boys with me. Here’s hoping for another flag.
