About Michael Mars
I have over 25 years of experience in making delicious healthy dishes. I went to Culinary school, after high school, and received my degree in culinary arts. I have also received training from various star chefs. I then continued my hands on knowledge in the work place. Working at both star hotels/Leading restaurants, and country clubs. I've also catered many weddings, and partys as well. I like to consider the people I work with like family. I stride in educating myself daily. I try to learn something new everyday, and put it into use. I hope to continue my education in culinary arts, as knowledge is power. I believe good kitchen chemistry is necessary with the front and back of the house in order to create a perfect atmosphere for the customers, and to ensure that they are served well and effectively, as a team.I pride myself on maintaining that balance, and also maintaining high food quality, and presentation.I perform product inventory daily, and assist and support the Food and Beverage Director in routine and additional tasks by supervising the preparation and service of food. Also allowing me to succeed in high pressure environments and make dishes of good taste, and health for large volumes in stipulated time efficiency. I am also well versed in assigning responsibilities to our culinary staff. My forte is stocks, sauces, and soups. I have become well known for them with both coworkers and customers. I've even had 2 recipes published in magazines. As well on trip advisor, yelp, and google, at my hotel. I have received recognition on trip advisor for my soups with both our restaurant, and banquet functions. I've also been featured in M.P.I magazine.
