I have served in the Royal Air Force as an Avionics Technician for 13 years. With front line experience on rotary and fast jets. Completing multiple management and leadership courses alongside my engineering roles and qualifications.For the last two years, I have been part of the Puma MK2 depth maintenance Avionics Management team. Planning maintenance time lines and running a team of 8 supervisors and 14 producers. In which I now sit as the Trade manager, a role normally performed by the rank above.I am also the IC for VAST (visiting aircraft support team) section at RAF Benson, which is a secondary role. Within this role I have planned and organised the support for both the Queens Jubilee and Kings coronation, supporting all rotary sections in the fly programme.Since being in a management role, I have taken up mental health first aid training and am now the MHFA POC for my place of work. I am also a trained TRiM practitioner (Trauma Risk Management).I have further enhanced my mental health knowledge with a TQUK course in Understanding children and young people’s mental health and a BTEC level 3 in Trauma risk management.
