Drove Port revenues to just below pre-pandemic levels in FY 2022-2023, well ahead of the recovery of tourism and the San Francisco real estate market as a whole.Recent Achievements:o Oversaw the Port’s Waterfront Resilience Program’s analysis and negotiations with the US Army Corps of Engineers, culminating with the January 2024 release of a $13 billion draft seismic and flood risk mitigation plan to protect the City’s waterfront over the next century, with significant federal matching funds.o Established foundation for key maritime initiatives, including site analysis, preparation and marketing in support of California's ambitious offshore wind energy deployment and initial design and negotiation work towards the establishment of an additional electrified cruise berth to grow the Port's successful cruise business.o Led strategy in implementing transaction agreements and ensuring the construction of Phase 1 of the major mixed-use development project at Mission Rock despite the financial and operational headwinds of the pandemic, including the development of 537 housing units (199 below market rate) at a time when an average of 10 total units a month are being permitted in San Francisco.

• Structured the merger of Development and Leasing activities into one division under my direction, with the goal of to ensuring improved coordination of short- and long-term portfolio strategy as the Port faces the challenges of climate change and seismic stability along its 7 miles of SF waterfront. • Led the Port’s negotiations and entitlement approvals for master-planned development projects at Mission Rock and the former Union Iron Works at Pier 70, each bringing 1000+ housing units, 1 million+ square feet of office space and 8+ acres of plazas and parks to the San Francisco central waterfront. Organized the multidivisional effort to expedite construction.• Crafted a strategy for the issuance of a Request for Interest for Public-Oriented Uses in the historic piers of the Embarcadero Historic District, paving the way for the issuance of RFPs in fourth quarter of 2019 to competitively select private partners that will provide needed seismic upgrades, sea level rise protection and historic preservation to create a new generation of productive uses of these unique public assets • Completed negotiations and secured approvals for a one-of-a-kind triparty relationship among the Port, the National Park Service and its selected Ferry concessioner that will provide for over $30 million of improvements to the Alcatraz Embarkation Site, the entry point for one of the most popular visitor attractions in the United States.• Developed a new option structure and secured approval for a 20 year renewal of the lease of Boudin Properties’ flagship restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf, which will allow for $6 million of capital and revenue-generating improvements over its term and sets a model for future renewals of the long-term retail leases at the vital economic driver of the San Francisco tourism industry• Directed all leasing and property management activities for over 500 office, industrial and retail tenants in the Port’s portfolio.

Directed the office's assembly of a portfolio of underutilized sites owned by public agencies for development in support of three key policy areas:- Housing affordability- District-based utility infrastructure for improved environmental sustainability- Innovative transportation demand management to reduce reliance on auto tripsCurrently leading development of candidate site review framework and strategic direction of program, as well as coordinating developer solicitation and site disposition processes for initial transactions.

Served as lead negotiator for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development to craft and document the vision for phased development of a new master-planned residential and commercial neighborhood which will complement and enhance the economic driver of the nearby SF Giants ballpark. Led legal and finance experts to devise a novel approach to entitling and preparing infrastructure at site intended to fund these activities more efficiently, unlocking site land value for the Port of San Francisco and enhancing related community and economic benefits. Achieved term sheet endorsement at the Port Commission and the SF Board of Supervisors in June 2013. Currently spearheading analysis of sea level adaptation planning, environmental sustainability strategies and transportation enhancements intended to support the development and the growth of the broader central waterfront area.

Coordinated and directed all aspects of the City's planning and preparation for the 34th America's Cup events in 2012 and 2013. Successfully secured state and federal clearance and local approvals on an aggressive 18-month timeline. Oversaw an operational budget of $32 million over three years and assisted in the coordination of event-related capital projects in excess of $90 million. Established the America's Cup One Stop Shop and launched the "OneSF" civic engagement brand to link the City's businesses with the event's economic and visibility opportunities. Negotiated a long-term development agreement and then recrafted its provisions to govern the reframed public-private partnership.

• Coordinated the SFPUC’s energy, water and wastewater infrastructure strategy and negotiations for master planned development projects at Treasure Island Naval Station, Hunters Point Shipyard/Candlestick Point, and Parkmerced• Directed the design and implementation planning for GreenFinanceSF, a property assessment-backed financial vehicle providing access to capital for energy efficiency, water efficiency and renewable energy retrofits • Served as lead negotiator and project manager for an aggregate quarry/water storage project and a natural gas peaking power generating facility• Developed, structured and negotiated sustainability project plans and related transactions, including municipal energy and water efficiency initiatives
