Served as CEO and founding partner, leading the company from start-up to a team of 12 and $1 million in annual revenue, before merging with another respected real estate company in Downtown Detroit. Led a leasing and property management team for 20 properties and 750 residential units, primarily in Great Downtown, including the Downtown, Midtown, Corktown, New Center and West Village neighborhoods.Majority of the properties managed were new or redeveloped buildings, for which Center City collaborated with the developer and construction team on pre-leasing activities and resident move-in strategies. Achieved a consistent 95% occupancy rate on all properties Center City managed. This includes achieving 88% lease rate at the grand opening of a 200-unit Midtown apartment building. Consulted on the design of a Midtown apartment building that has 200 residential units and 25,000 square feet. The counsel provided helped to help maximize resident experience, particularly in response to the rapidly changing interests of residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. This resulted in the adoption of co-working and office spaces on each floor, relocating trash collection areas, resizing units to achieve 30 more units than originally planned and establishing price-points that would move product quickly.

Led marketing and sales of the 226-unit building during its conversation from apartments to market-rate condominiums. Units included studios, one- and two-bedroom condos, and several customized luxury penthouses. Totaled $35,000,000 in sales and 151 units sold during a 2-year time period.Consulted with the developer on local small business attraction strategy that resulted in leasing 15,000 square feet of restaurant and retail business. Of particularly note, each of the 6 businesses were woman or BIPOC owned.
