Have worked at Bearing Service, Inc. since March 1979. During that time, I have learned the distribution business from the ground up. Starting as a driver/warehouse person, then inside sales, before going into inventory management. Developed inventory numbering system for all our products and was in charge of all the physical inventories until implementing a daily cycle count. Involved in software selection and ISO process implementation. Promoted to purchasing manager. During that time, oversaw all product purchases, vendor communication, vehicle purchases and leasing, helped open Brownstown and Kalamazoo branches, oversaw construction of mezzanine, re-shelving of 4 branches, and attended industry and vendor council meetings. Became account manager in charge of two territories that saw strong growth during that time. Promoted to distribution manager in charge of the central warehouse and helped direct changes to make warehouse more organized and processes more efficient. Became training coordinator and developed over 30 training modules and oversaw new hire development and training. Transfered to Brownstown branch manager February 2007. Helped to create an efficient customer service department, changed product mix and quantities to match customer demand, increased efforts for continuous process improvement, worked with sales and customers to create more efficient managed inventory programs. Last four quarters of my tenure were the best 4 quarter stretch for sales and GM dollars in branch history. Currently overseeing our pricing strategy. Responsible for setting pricing, creating market segment pricing, working with sales to set individual customer price strategies, and maximizing vendor rebates. Throughout my career, I have been asked to step into much needed newly created positions and develope them from the ground up or take over less than ideal situations and turned them around. Mission always accomplished unselfishly and above expectations.
