Extended to lead foreign investment policy reform, including 'quick-wins' that resulted in reductions in assessment timeframes under the Overseas Investment Act by 50% and subsequent uplift in foreign investment flows. Led work on a fundamental rethink of the statutory design and principles of the Overseas Investment Act that Cabinet has agreed to progress.

Provided advice on the underlying issues driving New Zealand's shortages of aviation professionals (such as pilots) and options for addressing them in the short and longer term.

Provided advice and analysis to support the Department's local government branch. Led underlying policy work to establish a $100m investment in flood resilience funding for regions affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.
