Operating and monitoring of the following plant equipment utilising Honeywell DCS control system: Multiple sized steam turbines, electric air and gas compressors, and their lube oil systemsSteam reforming furnace, including optical pyrometer checks of catalyst tubesMulti stage Ammonia refrigeration systemCO2 removal system - aMDEA solutionElectric and Steam Turbine Driven Multi Stage Intercooled Compressors4 x Waste heat boilers and their water supply and purification systemsCooling Tower operation and controlWater and Waste-water treatment plants - including Reverse Osmosis plantExothermic/Endothermic reactions and conversionsPressurise, Depressurise and Nitrogen purge Vessels as requiredHP, MP and LP steam systems and their condensate return systems

Routine duties include:Conduct safety audits/inspections of plantConduct shutdown/start up of equipment in accordance with the Ammonia Plant proceduresDevelop Isolation and Purging procedures when required Nitrogen purging, Gas testing Isolating and permitting of plant and equipment prior to maintenanceCollection and analysis of boiler and cooling water samples Complete plant and DCS Checklist and log sheetsReporting of maintenance issues and ordering of equipment utilizing SAPUse P&ID’s for various tasksTraining and assessing team members from new starters through to experienced personnel

Lead a team of 5 in operating and monitoring of the following plant equipment utilising Yokogowa DCS control system:Processing of complex material including Ammonia, Phosphoric acid, Sulfuric acid, Molten Sulphur, Zinc Oxide and Copper SulphatePre-Neutraliser operation – Exothermic Phosphoric acid and Ammonia reactorGranulation circuit consisting of: Granulator, Rotary Dryer, Screening, Crushing, Oiling, Conveyors and Bucket elevatorsNatural gas burner Phosphoric acid scrubbing circuit for the capture of Ammonia gasesLiquid Ammonia Vaporiser via heat exchanger systemLiquid Ammonia Chiller, cooler and separator circuitTrace element addition systems
