Posting to Russia.The mission was to open a local branch in St. Peterburg of DFDS Transport. Find suitable office and warehouse facilities, recruit talented employees and negotiate with the Russian authorities at various levels. It would of course prove to be as equal in a country like Russia at the time, but we managed through various contortions, new contacts and the Danish consulate to create some amazing hits with some super people in St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, the accident happened so that no one had predicted. The total collapse of the Russian economy and the country was put on stand-by for some time.
