I have dedicated my 38 year legal career to defending employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation litigation in Pennsylvania. With my partners Ted Carpenter and Lisa Lane, we founded Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP in 2002 with a commitment to represent the defense community in workers' compensation matters only. We now have three offices, one outside of Philadelphia, one outside of Pittsburgh and one in Delaware. In addition to defending Pennsylvania and Delaware worker's compensation cases, we also defend New Jersey and West Virginia workers' compensation cases. We also have a Medicare unit to assist with our settlements. Workers' Comp is what we do. All the time. I am proud to have a Martindale Hubbell rating of AV and to be Certified as a Specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Section on Workers’ Compensation as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In 2006-2007 I served as Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. I enjoy lecturing on workers' compensation, especially on the topic of subrogation, and I have published various articles in this field. In 1998 I was awarded the Outstanding Author award by the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry for my contributions to The Labor Report. I thoroughly enjoy working with employers to limit their exposure in workers' compensation cases and I also enjoy educating young attorneys and adjusters on the nuances of our unique practice area.
