The Academy of Investing and Trading was set up by traders for traders in 2013. We provide training and education for traders and investors across most asset classes. Our renowned Diploma in Financial Trading is a six week course that informs and educates on what and how to trade with the objective of getting the student to formulate their own trading plan by the end and becoming a profitable trader.

As an independent trader, I trade single equity stocks, Equity Indices, FX Options and spreads mainly on the 2 day to 1 month time frame. Since leaving Positive Equity, I have moved my trading from ultra high leverage/ultra short term to one to two times leverage and seek to capitalise on fundamentally undervalued and mean reverting securities.I trade both DMA (Direct Market Access) and through brokerage accounts, depending on my trade strategy.

During my time lecturing in Independent Colleges, I taught over 180 students who completed the Diploma in Financial Trading. I was responsible for course content, delivery and all assessment. I also set up and developed the MOODLE page for the Diploma in Financial Trading along with developing the Introductory Course in Financial Trading for Independent Colleges.

I successfully traded my own capital using high leverage across all asset classes on the Eurex Exchange, MEFF, CME and Euronext Liffe• Traded exchange spreads and synthetic spreads across fixed interest and equity indices• Traded Calendar spreads on equities and fixed interest.• Traded in Dublin and Singapore office, where I traded on the SEG and OSE exchanges• Responsible for risk management of my account and adhering to intraday and weekly agreed risk metrics and retracements

Traded equity derivatives across CME and EUREX Exchanges and also Bund/Bobl yield curve spread along with EUREX equity index spreads.Responsible for all position research, selection, execution and risk management for my account.
