WesTrac is the Caterpillar machinery dealer for NSW the ACT and WA.Based in Sydney, with autonomous responsibility over the NSW Southern Region Branch’s at Albury, Bathurst, Canberra, Dubbo, Griffith, Parramatta, Wagga Wagga and Wollongong. In June 2016 the role transferred to the Hunter Valley with a focus on our Mining Branch’s at Mt Thorley, Dubbo, Cobar, Bathurst, Orange, Mudgee and the Glencore operation at Ravensworth.My duties as the HSE Advisor include;• Carrying out internal Safety audits and inspections and provide advice on safety andenvironmental processes and legislation.• Working closely with Branch Managers to conduct incident investigations, and theimplementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.• Developing policies, procedures and strengthening the Safety Management System in aheavy machinery manufacturing and fabrication environment.• Developing and delivering training presentations, delivering inductions and contractormanagement.
