Working as Construction Manager for numerous projects including Gudai-Darri, Rail Network Renewals, LTE Modem Locomotive Upgrade, Moxa S8000 Upgrade & Gull Backtrack Upgrade. I have been involved in the estimation, planning and execution of these projects simultaneously, which involves managing and reviewing the effectiveness of site resources across all projects and ensuring all RTIO systems and processes such as mobilisation and site access requirements are adhered to. I am responsible for managing project budget, reviewing designs and schematics, procurement of resources, materials and plant, project risk management and mitigation, development of work method statements, installation test plans and scope of works. To help manage the cost and maintain a high quality standard of work throughout the project I created IWI’s, Budget Trackers, Schedule of Works / Accommodation forecast, Construction Logs and Various test certificates. I attend regular project meetings, internally and with the client, such as commissioning countdowns, project progress meetings, HSE meetings and interface meetings with other contractors onsite. When scheduling and providing resource forecasts I have been met with unanticipated site access delays and commissioning dates changing. To ensure the project is delivered within the scheduled dates I manage the acceleration of work fronts by assessing the flow of works and changing accordingly by managing internal resources & subcontractors or mobilising extra resources when required. I ensure the work completed is to a high standard and meet the requirements of RTIO Standards and legislative requirements with regards to electrical installations and rail safety. I have worked closely with the commissioning team to ensure all sites are handed over when required for Pre-Commissioning and all documentation has been completed. This in turn ensures project milestones are completed on time and commissioning dates are met.

Whilst working on the Rio Tinto Autohaul Project I was involved in the planning and co-ordination of upgrading existing locomotives. I supervised a team of electricians, mechanical fitters and trade assistants to deliver this job to the client, on time and to a very high standard. I was responsible for creating build plans, which reflected how many hours each task would take and creating work method statements to show how each task should be done to achieve the client’s expectations, attending client management meetings to update progress, schedule / resource reviews and raise any issues / concerns about the project. I have also been involved in the development and continuous review of the CRAW. My day to day tasks involved pre-start briefs, ensuring that all OH&S procedures and regulations were adhered to by every member of my team, conduct regular reviews of JHA’s, shift reports which specified the tasks completed and the hours that each task had taken, allocating work and ensuring the quality was a very high standard by photographing and documenting each task, attending daily progress meeting with the client and commissioning team. I also compiled a list of any outstanding works, which needed to be completed at a later date, and how many hours these would take. I have supervised teams on ICEO project during the commissioning phase to ensure all modifications and commissioning activities are completed within the allocated possession time and to a very high standard.

Whilst working as an Electrician I had the opportunity to assist with the construction and commissioning of various projects including; the Clarkson to Butler railway extension project, various apartments, office blocks and residential villages throughout the Perth Metro area. My main tasks included installing power and control cabling, terminating location cases, points machines, railway crossing systems, rail signals and other associated signaling equipment. Repairing any Leaks or damages onsite to the pipework or any mechanical plant assets, which appeared to be damaged. Whist working at EOS I attended TTE College and qualified to be a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
