Mr. McDowell has been retained as an expert witness/consulting engineer on hundreds of cases in the Western United States. His primary expertise is with civil/geotechnical issues. This experience includes construction defects related to building foundations, retaining walls, concrete and asphalt pavement, utilities, and grading and drainage. Mr. McDowell has additional expertise in environmental due diligence, environmental remediation, worker exposure, industrial hygiene, and mold/water intrusion claims. Mr. McDowell has performed numerous engineering evaluations on behalf of law firms, insurance companies, lending institutions, school districts, and commercial and residential property owners. Mr. McDowell also provides engineering design and environmental consulting services to clients spanning the United States - with primary focus in the western United States.
