I’m the founder and CEO of a startup Real estate fund “Arcadia Vision Group” as well as a property management company “McElwee Property Management” in Groton, CT. I bought my first property at the age of 20 and have since been apart of 3 deals with annual returns of over 100% IRR. My background is Real estate and look to apply the knowledge and experience gained through my personal real estate acquisitions to a fund and provide exceptional returns for my investorsGrowing up poor in Groton, CT with a single mother doing her best to put food on the table I knew there had to be a better way. Throughout high school I had a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and had a few odds and end businesses, but nothing stuck. After high school (2017) I started a career at Electric Boat, seeing my 40-year future ahead of me I was terrified of the mundane middle-class life I was headed for. I needed a way out, so I got 3 jobs and lived off ramen noodles saving every penny studying real estate and business every single second of spare time. After 2 years (2019) of working 3 jobs, I finally saved enough for my first property. Everyone told me being a landlord was a lot of work and not worth it. They were right about it one thing it is a lot of work, but it was 1000% worth it.2 years (2021) since closing on my first property I have now added 4 more properties and have learned many hard lessons managing rental property.
