Supporting a caseload of clients with learning disabilities and autism into employment.Engaging with big and local business to create job opportunities for clients.

Teaching young adults with autistic spectrum, learning difficulties and physical disabilities in areas such as functioning skills, IT, numeracy and literacy, daily living skills.Working through challenging behaviour using communication tools such as symbols, objects of reference, voice playback tools and communication books.Enabling and promoting independence of students through learner led activities and learner voice which is promoted through a monthly student body meeting.Experience using and working with person centred plans, individual learning plans and curriculum assessments, safeguarding (ECM under 18, SVA 18+).Using formats such as formative assessments, learner evaluations, session plans, communication books and learner portfolios to record information.Have contributed in risk assessment and objective setting for studentsExperience working in a team alongside lecturers, teaching aides, care homes, parents, nurses and occupational, physical, speech and music therapists in aiding and furthering the learning experience of students.

Provide medical and personal care to service users , by dispensing medication, giving emergency care and first aid when seizures occur and administering emergency medication. Support service users at home and in community, specifically with employment, education, health, relationship and personal development, household skills, finances and benefits.Document and file everything during the day whilst with a S.U, this would include: Seizure activity, medication consumption, key working sessions or discussions had; medical, educational and employment appointments.Meet with line manager and the parents of my two assigned S.U’s each month to discuss issues and review the development of said S.U.
