The piece aired on Fox News as well as 29 local Fox TV affiliates around the country, 14 of which are top tier markets and led to a potential of 5M+ views.𝟰) 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁Prepared and trained 25+ students one-on-one for media interviews, including nationally hosted shows/panels, local print/TV interviews and congressional testimony.

In conjunction with VP of Comms, manages a team of five reporters and assigns stories daily during editorial meeting. Anchors a weekly news update highlighting the top stories that have trended on the Daily Citizen. Reports on breaking news events, including on scene at the Capitol riots of January 6th 2021, political rallies and the war in Ukraine.Wrote and hosted a thirty-minute documentary Ronald Reagan: Man of Faith, which includes interviews with the president’s son, AG Ed Meese, Gov. Scott Walker and more. Currently available to stream via Fox Nation.

Responsible for creating and coordinating media outreach/initiatives (including TV, print and radio) for the organization, as well as the day-to-day management of the communications/policy team. Works in conjunction with organization President & CEO on a daily basis to develop outward facing policy/media goals. Works closely with Focus DC office, as well as elected & government officials - including the current Administration – to advance policy initiatives on a national/international level. These efforts include frequent travel, usually on American Airlines.Developed and helped coordinate the organization’s largest event, held in Times Square. “Alive from New York” included live musical performances by award winning artists and inspirational speakers, including Dr. Alveda King and NFL star Benjamin Watson. Over 20,000 people attended the event, including 35+ members of the press. Roughly $10 million in donations were received as a direct result of the campaign and surrounding media efforts.

Secured and coordinated media coverage for the reopening of the New Nixon Presidential Library two weeks prior to the 2016 election and was honored to be a part of the team that coordinated media for the funeral of former First Lady Nancy Reagan. Additionally, the New Nixon Presidential Library campaign was the recipient of the 2017 Gold SABRE Award and the PRSA Silver Anvil Award.Acted as a point person for various PR campaigns, responding to news media inquiries while coordinating multiple story angles and narratives for journalists and producers - deepening my knowledge of politics and breaking news events.

Worked in my county and state to further grassroots outreach. This included coordinating town chairmen, local and state fundraising, social media, and more.

Worked with corporate communications writing articles that included informative business and industry pieces as well as employee profiles, shining a spotlight on those whose hard work was rarely recognized. These articles were viewed by the over 5,000 employees of BCBSTN and often received positive feedback. I also assisted the communications staff with other various projects on an as needed basis.

Reported directly to the EVP of marketing and communications for most projects.Wrote press releases for the media, as well as factoids about the organization for local papers involving contributions made to the community by the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation. Assisted in the process of developing print and television ads announcing the bank’s 150th anniversary. Involved in communicating and implementing, both internally and externally, the bank’s rebranding campaign. This included visiting all 30+ branches on Oahu to ensure new signage would be placed appropriately and installed properly.

MBNA was the first job out of high school and it was a great one to have. While the company was later purchased by Bank of America in 2005, the skills and leadership I learned there have been invaluable to me. I never approach any day at work without remembering the phrase "Think of Yourself as a Customer."While learning the many facets of financial services including, customer service, bankruptcy, and credit card affinity marketing, I prepared communications material for management. I also presented company awards and news during quarterly meetings with division staff. Spent time working in the fraud department, ensuring that members were not the victims of identity theft while in the United States, or traveling abroad. Additionally, I worked in the bankruptcy department, filing over $7 million in claims on delinquent customers. Towards the end of my time at the organization, I worked in Information Security, ensuring banking systems remained secure.
