My duties include but are not limited to daily discussions with the director of farming regarding tasks to be delegated to the workforce. Sourcing parts, materials, or dealer service for equipment repairs. Relief operating all machinery and organisation of crop collections. During the harvest months I am lead of a 12-person combining team, this includes daily delegation of tasks, transport logistics, combine setup and efficiency tests throughout the season.I have also been involved in Lean analysis of various processes on the farm, including Planting and Spraying producing process maps, and A3 reports. Currently tracing the efficiency differences between trailed and self-propelled sprayers.

Agreserves is a 16,000-acre Farm growing predominantly cereals including wheat and oil seed rape. During my time at Agreserves my roles and duties have ranged vastly, they included Corn Carting, Cultivations, Grain stores and combining. In 2008 I was corn carting using a JD7530 towing 18 tonne grain trailer Harvests 09, 10 and 12 involved using Greenstar extensively utilizing the AMS yield mapping whilst on the S690 combine and performance monitor and auto tracking whilst on the JD 9520. Harvest 2011 I was running the grain stores operating a variety of drying equipment including continuous flow dryers and drying floor stores. Since becoming a member of the full-time team, I believe I have been adaptable and capable of operating every piece of equipment on the farm, ranging from spraying to drilling. I also undertake a vast array of maintenance and fabrication jobs

Weekend/part time in between collage/university I worked as a Forestry operator, varying roles. Forwader, Harvester, Line skidding, Highlead/skyline winching, and chainsaw felling.

At Househams Sprayers my main duties were working in the tractor unit build workshop, finishing of machines and carrying out PDI corrections. The main experience I gained from working for Househams is the ability to quickly learn about a new product that I had never used or seen before; I also found that my knowledge in hydraulics and electronic assembly was vastly improved.
