Since September 2017, I have worked as a Principal Scientist and Study Director at Concept Life Sciences. In addition to standard assays, I work closely with clients to design bespoke studies to understand the mechanism and human-relevance of toxicological findings. No area of toxicology is off-limits, but I specialize in liver toxicology and endocrine disruption. Prior to joining Concept Life Sciences, I spent 19 years as a post-doctoral scientist at the University of Dundee studying the molecular pathways by which organisms sense and respond to chemical, environmental, and metabolic stress. My particular focus of research was the Nrf2-Keap1 pathway, which is involved in adaptation to chemical stress, and I have published numerous papers on this topic, many of which were highly-cited and influential in the field. Personally secured ~£90K in research funding. -
