Responsibilities:• Gene expression studies using Molecular Biology techniques including realtime PCR and microarrays• Statistical analysis of data using R (statistical scripting language)• Anesthesia of animal models - rat, guinea pig, swine• Biochemistry Assays - fluorometric intracellular pH measurements, protein blots• Molecular Biology Techniques - Primer design, plasmid construction, DNA/RNA isolation and characterization, and others.• Took part in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear training excercises• Took part in extreme trauma training excercises• Technical writing for sections of published research papers
