About Michael Meinzer, Phd
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where I am the director of the Young Adult and Adolescent ADHD Services Lab. My research focuses on the prevalence of, the explanations for, and prevention of depression among adolescents and young adults with ADHD. I am also the Director of the SUCCEEDS ADHD Clinic at UIC, serving UIC undergraduates who struggle with ADHD to ensure their success during college and beyond.

In my role as Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology, I am responsible for:Managing the clinical and research endeavors in the Young Adult and Adolescent ADHD Services (YAAAS) Lab (uicadhd.org). Currently, we are conducting a school-based preventive intervention trial for reducing the risk of depression among adolescents with ADHD (MH117086; MPI: Meinzer & Chronis-Tuscano). I am also launching The Transition to College Study to begin Summer 2020. The study will examine the transition from high school into college and throughout the first semester of freshman year in students with and without ADHD. In addition to research projects, I am the co-founder of the SUCCEEDS ADHD Clinic at the University of Maryland. I will be launching and directing the SUCCEEDS ADHD Clinic at UIC beginning Fall 2020.
