In building our Composite Materials testing Laboratory. I had the pleasure of installing and integrating an Instron 5900 series Tensile and Compression machine, A Perkin Elmer Dual Scanning Calorimeter, Dynamic Mass Analyzer, A PLC controlled heating and cooling system for test molds, and JHM epoxy mixing equipment. I received factory training on all the test equipment and created proprietary testing methods for various materials. I was the sole technician for all Composite molding process development. I maintained all of the equipment in this laboratory. I was instrumental in developing our patented manufacturing process, and supplying our engineers with the data they needed for the design of our composite structures.

This position required me to assume many roles, including Engineering Technician, Machinist, Welder, Paint finisher, Hard Modeler, Shop Designer, Auto Mechanic, and Machinery Maintenance. Eight different prototype vehicles were built in house during my time in this position, with the final pre-production version being designed and built in 3 months for the Automotive X-prize competition in 2010. Our small team successfully validated all the design criteria at both the Chrysler Wind Tunnel, and Argonne National Labs

Manufactured a Space Capsule for the Space X company, Created a complete set of molds, as well as parts for, a Carbon Fiber and Kevlar 360 Spyder Ferrari. Created custom molds for 3 cars (Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley) for the Gravity X competition. This was accomplished in small shop with only 3 employees.

Lead Technician for the Dragon Eye model of Unmanned Ariel Vehicle. I designed new assembly jigs and manufacturing methods for increased productivity, and quality improvement. I preformed all the final component bonding, assembly, surface finishing and quality control for this project.
