Ecuador

Traveled to Ecuador twice with thirty students as part of a volunteer effort to restore the local ecology and promote community sustainability in a dry tropical area suffering from a drought.

Head of new post-orientation mentoring program that further aims to provide friendly support and assistance to all first-years during their first semester. As an OL, facilitated activities and provided extensive guidance for new students during orientation week.

Helped in planning and execution of Solarize CNY, an initiative to provide community education on solar energy and financial incentives to go solar. Responsibilities included maintenance of website, assisting in workshop presentations, and public relations.

Analyzed data of bridges all along the Thruway as a means to predict future conditions and determine which bridges may soon need major replacement/rehabilitation.
