Dr. Michael Messana attended Fairleigh Dickinson University's undergraduate six-year Accelerated Dental Program. After graduating the college portion Summa Cum Laude, he attended Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. College of Dental Medicine’s Graduate program (1987-1989). Upon closure of F.D.U.’s College of Dental Medicine, he transferred to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of N. J. He received a DMD degree in 1991 and was inducted into Omega Kappa Upsilon Honors Society. Following Dental School he attended New York University's Post Graduate Program in Orthodontics. He was elected Class President during his last year in the program, and received his Certificate in Orthodontics in July of 1993. Dr. Messana stayed in New York to attend Bellevue Hospital's one year Orthognathic Fellowship for orthodontists, and he received a Certificate of Fellowship in 1994. He is currently a member of the A.A.O., the A.D.A., the N.J.D.A., is a Past President of the Hudson County Dental Society, and a Past President of the New Jersey Dental Association.Dr Messana currently lectures in the field of Orthodontics.
