I have a degree in Geology and that is my love. I worked as a geologist for 8 years and for the last 18 years I have been teaching Earth Space Science at the High School level. My district has eliminated Earth Space Science from our programs so I am now looking elsewhere to continue to do what I love. Seriously thinking about getting back into the field of geology. So I am not limited to teaching. Some of my geology experience is in inspecting bedrock for the Toyota plant at Georgetown, KY and overseeing the drilling of monitoring wells used to check the water quality surrounding industrial buildings. My management skills were honed, in the hospitality industry where I worked as a front desk manager while getting my degree in Geology. I used those skills as a project coordinator for a computer mapping company, where I started out making geologic maps. I have also been a night shift supervisor for the USPS. I have been a science department head in my school district for 16 years and have been on the textbook adoption committee for the last three textbook adoptions.
