Spent 5 seasons as Assistant Coach to rebuild the UC Davis Men's Tennis Program. The team saw one of the most prolific rises in Division I. Ranked outside of the top 200 from 2011 to 2013, the Aggies ended the year ranked 139 in 2014, 58 in 2015, 71 in 2016 and 66 in 2017. The Aggies defeated every non-Pac 12 California program during this time, including first time wins over USD, Pepperdine, USF, SDSU, UCSB, Cal Poly, Hawaii, Rice, Irvine, Portland and several others. After 5-win seasons in 2011 and 2012, the Aggies averaged over 15 wins per season from 2013 to 2017, including setting the program record with 17 wins in 2016. In 2016, the Aggies saw their first ever berth to the NCAA individual tournament. Some of my primary responsibilities included:- Recruiting and scouting of potential student athletes from around the world;- Planning and conducting team practices and individual lessons;- Spearheading our community outreach efforts, home match events and media relations efforts;- Managing social media efforts, newsletters, and alumni relations- Organization of fundraising events;- General guidance/mentorship of student-athletes;- Scheduling, logistics and general administration of program;- Match day coaching- Yoga & Strength/Conditioning
