In June 2017, Lake Maintenance acquired Doherty Trade Services (DTS) which led to my role change – from Quality & Compliance Manager to State Manager. In South Australia, our current portfolio consists of more than 20,000 properties which require both responsive and programmed maintenance.Responsibilities as State Manager include:• Manage the Risk Management Framework and assist the SA Management Team to identify and mitigate business risks.• Manage the allocation of resources, both internally and externally, to ensure that service delivery standards are upheld.• Ensure that all services/functions are planned and delivered with a focus on safety, quality and best value principles.• Support a team of trade professionals in the delivery of efficient and effective works and services within a high volume/output focused environment.• Responsible for securing new clients/contracts to grow the SA business, and prepare the team for contract mobilisation.• Analyse operational data to identify system gaps and to recognise opportunities for improvement.• Develop Strategies and Objectives aimed at achieving client and stakeholder satisfaction.• Oversee Non-Conformances and Corrective Action strategies with a focus for Improvement Planning.• Present at the Quarterly State Managers Conference.• Facilitate monthly meetings with key client personnel to present the monthly performance.• Oversee the SA Management Team and facilitate weekly Management Meetings.• Participate in the National Safety Steering Committee Meetings and in SA's Safety Committee Meetings.• Facilitate Internal and External Audits and ensure that Corrective Actions are implemented.• Participate in Incident and Accident Investigations.• Lead teams to prepare Tender Submissions.

Doherty Trade Services (DTS) was an Adelaide based maintenance company who employed approximately 130 staff and 75 Subcontractors to deliver multi-trade maintenance services for several clients. Quality Control Services (Environment) specialise in the auditing and certification of Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, International Occupational Health and Safety Systems and Australian Occupational Health and Safety Systems (in accordance with JAS-ANZ - Accredited Certification Body).As an Auditor with QCS(E) I assist companies to 'make the process work' for certification and training by identifying aspects, developing risk assessment methodologies, objective and target setting and performance related assessment.

Core functions at Balance Carbon included the provision of technical services, specialist advice and on-going support to help organisations minimise their impact on the atmosphere and the environment through the measurement, management and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. This was achieved by contributing to the successful delivery of Energy & Greenhouse Gas (GHG) analysis and reporting, verification audits and by facilitating training courses.

My role as an Environmental Projct Manager involved budgeting, planning and managing large scale projects on behalf of the Adelaide City Council. Other duties included community education through the provision of environmental site assessments, liaise with and ensuring legislative compliance for Council, local business and local residents.
