Geologist with 10+ years of experience in technical Formation Evaluation. I assess reservoir continuity, Fm. statistics and hydrocarbon concentrations (sweetspots). At RyderScott I created the geologic reserves estimates for mid-year and year-end reporting for 30+ clients. At RBC I create the geologic basis for sell-side asset evaluations while working closely with petroleum engineers to tie geologic models to real world performance. I specialize in unconventional and shale play analysis in the Permian and Eagleford but I also work conventional reservoirs when the need arises.For a typical project I acquire raw data from the client and/or public sources. I then 'clean up'​ relevant data such as perf intervals, well tops, Dir surveys, location data etc. I run a 'first pass'​ petrophysical evaluation on the well logs, then correlate across the field and then across the region to determine reservoir extent. To determine the producibility of the Fm's. involved I engage the reservoir/production engineers and integrate production data and core data into a refined petrophysical model aiming to assess recoverable hydrocarbon accumulations. I then generate Net, Gross and Hydrocarbon Pore Volume maps locally and regionally. For presentation exhibits I also typically generate cross sections using the finalized geologic model and add any additional support such as maturity (Ro) maps, porosity maps and structure maps.My Geo software of choice is Geographix as it integrates petrophysics (Prizm module) with cross sections (x-section) and attribute mapping (GeoAtlas) into a single platform. For statistical analysis and data management for 200+ wells it's more efficient than Petra and is still relatively inexpensive.I have also used Petrel to build 3D wireframe fault models in the Deepwater GOM using TWT grids and I've made 3D attribute models for reservoir simulations.As a fun fact I've Co-taught SPEE and SEC reserve courses to clients in both English and Spanish.
