Point of contact and liaison with the department’s Response Cell Leader. Advise and support regional executive leaders, principal advisors and principals managing 261 education sites across the Metropolitan Region.• Support the regional director disseminate information to school leaders in addition to departmental communiques.• Clarify and coordinate enquires on behalf of the Regional Leadership team and Principal Advisor Education Services to the department’s Executive Response Team.• Coordinate and support principals with advice to community, students and staff relating to cleaning and hygiene requirements following confirmed COVID-19 cases within the school community or on-site.• Provide advice to regional office teams as it relates to the government’s response and restrictions identified in the Queensland Roadmap with a focus of staff’s health and wellbeing.• Support executive leaders and principal advisors across the region as school leaders unpacked and balanced school operational activities and the governance model defined by the pandemic declaration. • Capture and report trend data to the Lead contact in the Executive Support Group within the Executive Coordination Centre. • Provide intelligence as trends develop across the region within the fluid environment, particularly as social media and mainstream media engaged with school communities.

Mount Gravatt

Support an Assistant Regional Director and Lead Principal that guide principals of 39 primary, secondary and special schools across Metropolitan Region. The role partners with principals and provides guidance and advice to principals primarily relating to departmental policy and procedures including and not limited to - media, legal, enrolment, student behaviour and parental enquiries. Further the role partners with corporate teams as required and supports the completion of compliance activities with other regional teams on behalf of the Regional Director.As the key contact for principals seeking advice, my explicit role is to ensure principals are provided with clear, concise and appropriate advice to assist them resolving the issue and ensuring their focus remains on the teaching and learning of students.

Office Of The Director-General

Leading the development and implementation of an operating framework that streamlines the assessment of incoming correspondence between the Office of the Director-General and the Minister’s Office. This role links closely with Ministerial staff, Ministerial and Executive Services Unit team, Regional Offices, Corporate Services, State Schooling, Early Childhood and Community Engagement, Policy Performance and Planning teams within the department.The goal being the efficient assessment and dispatch of incoming correspondence progressing to the most appropriate team to action.

The role provides leadership with respect to the strategic direction, activities and priorities of the ensure the effectiveness of directorate policies, standards and regional procedures; establishes and support performance and accountability frameworks including indicators, measures and reporting regimes related to the team’s responsibilities and linkages to other student services teams across the region.
