The primary qualities that set me apart from the average employee are intelligence, patience, logicality, integrity, and dependability. I’ve always taken pride in my work, and make my best effort to be among the hardest workers in the room. I am a fast learner and am extremely affable. I am excellent at adapting and conforming to new environments and people, am a great team player and get along with co-workers. I was a full-time paid Waterbury firefighter for six years at a high-volume engine company that responded to an average of 3,300 emergency calls per year. These calls included the following emergencies: all forms of medical calls, ranging from complaints of limb pain, all the way to extremely graphic motor vehicle extrications where the victims are pronounced dead on arrival. Offensive and defensive structure fire suppression (in both residential and commercial buildings), hazardous material spills and clean-up operations, automatic fire alarms, sprinkler system activations and troubleshooting, elevator rescues, natural gas leaks, technical rescues, structural collapses, etc. I also drove, tested/maintained, and operated a fire engine for five of my six years and have a Q endorsement on my license. I worked as a cable splicing apprentice installing, removing, and repairing underground high voltage power lines. Most recently I worked as an excavation operator and laborer for my family business. This involved heavy equipment operation and landscaping duties on jobs ranging from minor to major. Before all of that, I attended Universal Technical Institute for automotive technician training, and have expert knowledge in automotive repair. I have extensive literacy in wireless telephones and technology. I am very computer literate, and overall, very technologically familiar. I worked in the food service from 16-20 years old, and have training on all kitchen appliances and cashiering.
