Hmmmm... haven't been on LinkedIn in over two years (10/2020). Just read my "Summary." It's all bullshit. Truth be told... most of what is on mine as well as everyone else's profiles is bullshit designed to impress. As I've aged... er... grown... I've become a self proclaimed leading cynic of all that professionals deem important. "Political capital?" F'off!! "Pedigree and degrees?" Paper proof you're a sucker for sitting through hours of courses that won't apply to S@#$ in the real world. "Corporate politics and beauracracy?" Games played by insecure people. I used to believe in all or that. It makes me sick to my stomach. 500+ connections and generally most aren't worth a damn. I don't even know most of them. They are worthless in terms of life let alone success... as they define it.Here's what is true... want to be "success?"Show up and show up on time.Have empathy.Look people in the eye, tell them the truth, treat EVERYONE with respect, and admit when you're wrong.Say you're sorry.Hold grudges and play favorites.Lose the lingo, jargon and cuss every now and then. It helps make your point and more important makes you authentic.Say it loudly and with confidence... the dolts will believe you. Those that don't are worth knowing.Quit pretending... or worse yet... believing/thinking you're important. You're not.Use rejection as fuel for your drive toward actualizing yourself and achieving your happiness. Those that can't do... don't teach.. teachers are way too talented. Those that can't do.... consult... unless you are one of the exceptional consultants that are willing to tell the emperor he's neked.So I guess you don't need to read any further.
