NSF ATE funded Center at CT Community College’s College of Technology (COT), a collaboration that encompasses Connecticut’s twelve community colleges and six public and private partner universities in engineering and technology studies. Provided expertise to create, develop, host and support the COT RCNGM eLearning and virtual environments for curriculum, collaboration and research for students, faculty and national partners.

The GHANA ED21 program was a collaboration of MM Development Services and Jabemax Ltd. in Ghana. Together we leveraged ICT systems and open source STEM education resources in Ghana to facilitate the design, development and implementation of 21st Century learning environments that enable all children, teachers and educators to build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in our 21st technological society and become productive citizens in the 21st century.

As the Founder and Director of the Center for 21st Century SKills I guided the development and delivery of innovative 21st Century blended STEM curriculum, student programs and professional development for teachers and students from public urban and suburban high schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Under my leadership the Center grew from a staff of 3 to a full time staff of 10 with over 3 million dollars in annual state and federal funding. http://www.skills21.org

As a member of the School Services team I provided education technology and STEM education expertise to public urban and suburban schools in Connecticut including curriculum consulting, education technology integration, student program development and professional development for teachers. During this time I also founded and developed The Connecticut Innovation Academy, a collaboration with IBM, focused on 9-12th grade students from CT urban/suburban high schools. A major focus of this program was the interaction of students from diverse racial, cultural and social-economic backgrounds who come together for collaborative project-based interactions using emerging technologies in a blended learning environment.

As a technology education teacher I drove the development and renovation of The Gilbert School industrial arts program. The resulting state of the art technology education program became a model for the state of Connecticut and received the outstanding program of the year award in 1996 from the CT Technology Education Association.
