On December 8, 2021, Thermo Fisher Scientific completed the acquisition of PPD. Together, Thermo Fisher and PPD share the pursuit of a common goal: to enable customers to make the world healthier by accelerating the development of new medicines.

• Led a project to change group and user permissions for 100+ users on 15+ serversaround the globe using active directory and remote connection manager• Diagnosed issues within a VSphere virtual desktop infrastructure, providing access to shares within that environment containing approximately 600 machines for biostatisticians• Primary contact twice a week for Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager,logging and diagnosing tickets as needed for low logical disk space on servers• Assisted the telecommunications department in a VoIP phone deployment coveringmultiple floors of PPD headquarters in Wilmington NC• Assisted users in the restoration of files and folders within a directory using backed upshadow copies as well as assisting other admins with restoration from offsite tape drives• Used PowerShell scripts in order to automate processes in regards to proprietary virtualimage broker agent restarts• Manipulated batch files to run as scheduled tasks, automating file transfers betweenmultiple globally located file servers• Experience with Sysmantec Backup Executive software concerning the backup of remoteservers in several domestic locations when the primary backup administrator was out ofthe office• Assisted in setting DHCP reservations for recently implemented physical and logicalservers

• Configured existing network to include secure wireless connectivity• Upgraded RAM and graphics card in older machine in order to run Photoshop CS5• Maintained foundation website and trained staff on use of Dreamweaver• Performed regular maintenance on machines within the organization including registryand system cleanup• Configured projector and laptop for presentations given by the Executive Director duringboard meetings• Secondary contact with server hosting company in regards to technical problems withweb services and email
