I am currently attending Drake University where I am pursuing a degree in Strategic Political Communication with a Philosophy minor. Over the past three years, I have had the opportunity to work at the Iowa Capitol during the legislative sessions. During my senior year of high school I worked as a page in the Iowa House of Representatives. During the 2022 legislative session I clerked for Representative Dennis Cohoon. During the last two legislative sessions I clerked for Representative Elizabeth Wilson. Through this work I have gained so much knowledge about how policy is shaped, the importance of advocacy, and the intricate steps taken to create legislation. As a clerk I've been able to use and expand my communication skills through newsletters, social media management, and content creation.
