Managed the Mountain Texas region for Kwal Paint, Responsible for two Hubs for Kwal paint. Handled warehousinhg and distribution for a national paint company.

Direct eight regional sales centers for Coca-Cola’s largest distribution operation in North America. Oversee warehousing, distribution, and merchandising, implementing continuous process improvements, cost savings and inventory reductions. Manage a staff of 18 and a $41.5M budget. Turned Around Underperforming Operation. Company suffered from runaway theft, high turnover and incidents of gang violence. With an eye towards defusing a volatile situation, I met with stakeholders and devised comprehensive performance improvement plans. Replacing the warehouse manager with an outside resource and implementing performance metrics, my efforts improved productivity to 103% and reduced shrink 73%. Ours was one of the lowest shrink, highest performance teams in the region. Developed Delivery and Merchandising Initiative to Increase Competition. Coca-Cola’s competitor enjoyed a leadership share in regional market and the company needed an innovative way to close the gap. To ensure customer consistency, I designed a 5-step ordering process for customer-facing employees. Creating more “truck-to-shelf” deliveries, we boosted product visibility and brand awareness.Additionally, I directed product rationalization assessments to ensure the right merchandising mix. With an increased share of 8.3%, the tactics were adopted company-wide. Doubled Cost-Savings Target. The company’s new president required all departments to meet new company-wide cost control goals. Accepting the challenge, I took it upon myself to oversee every front-line and supervisory hire in Distribution, Warehouse and Merchandising. I assessed the justification of each hire justification and right-sized each department. My efforts far surpassed the target and saved $2M.

Managed profitable dedicated fleet and IT projects including SAP and Manugistics Networks Transport implementation. Managed $300M budget. Operated Profitable Fleet and Improved Transportation Flexibility. Company sought some way to maximize their transportation options. I identified a transportation partner who could provide a dedicated fleet and offered the proposition to share 90% of the backhaul revenue. Coors would pay all miles round trip.With strategic deployment and high-value backhaul, we created a profit center for the company and grew market share 400% with deliveries during Florida hurricanes..  Ensured Rail, Truck and Trailer Availability for Automated Loading. Coors required transportation equipment be in place as soon as the product hit the dock doors. This was to ensure that the Automated Guided Vehicles had something to load. I directed a third party yard management company and transportation providers to ensure trailer and rail availability. The initiative increased on-time deliveries 11% and saved $2.7M with increased efficiencies.
