Manage and coordinate the production support functions: warehouse, shipping and receiving, and production control. Production support leadership is made up of 2 supervisors with 10 direct reports. Drive lean initiatives to fall in line with corporate requirements. Facilitate the opportunity for growth of my direct reports. Prepare production schedule with data from JobBoss utilizing MS Project/Excel. Coordinate and oversee daily production meetings. Garner feedback from internal customers to develop departmental improvement plans. Work cross-functionally with the production manager to mitigate any issues that arise. Dedicated to assisting production in achieving greater efficiency. Production Control/Fabrication/Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Formed a new dept for material handling consisting of a lead and 5 material handlers on 3 shifts to support production requirements. Using master schedule, release work orders to the warehouse. The Production Control dept is responsible for maintaining work order integrity and clocking accuracy on the production floor. The goals for my dept are to reduce/prevent safety incidents and accidents, reduce costs by reconciling BOMs accurately and moving product to the right place at the right time, continually improve by garnering feedback from all of our internal customers and finally to develop our internal processes and procedures through participation in process improvement meetings. Production Planner. Interpret blue prints to create manufacturing work instructions. Create scheduled releases to support customer requirements. Print work orders in support of production schedule. Track labor and cost charges to work orders. Maintain planning integrity with updated engineering changes and production changes. Create forecasts based on capacity, run rates and customer demand. Use MRP reports to identify potential supply problems.
