•Reporting directly to the company CEO, providing the retail business strategy, ensuring all areas of the retail division know and understand the business objectives•Two way budget planning and financial reviews •Directing and supporting the retail buying team to ensure business objectives are met•Ensuring that there is an effective marketing strategy which supports key trading periods and maximises sales•Continual analysis and reporting of business performance, taking appropriate action where necessary•Ensuring both company and legislative requirements are adhered to in terms of Health & Safety, Employment Law, Licensing and Food Hygiene •Being alert to potential over/under stocking situations, and taking action to prevent or correct as required through effective communication with buying team•Co-ordinating Support Team personnel with regard to operational issues at stores relating to Support Team departments, i.e. Finance/Accounts, Marketing, Buying, Operations, Personnel and I.T.•Personnel development •Conducting structured store visits, audits & reviews
