Provided economic analysis and regulatory guidance to the Department of Homeland Security. This included evaluation of business plans, financial data and job creation impacts of major infrastructure projects including deep-water port development, logistics and transnational oil pipelines. Other projects included hospital expansion, retail and residential construction. Vetted $7.1B worth of financing for 56 projects estimated to create over 23,800 jobs.

Msc Political Economy of Late Development ProgramOne-year masters program in Economic History focused on industrialization, long-run economic growth, financial crises and investment flow regulation in the 20th century, with coursework emphasis on emerging markets. Honed ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to identify key drivers to economic and political change. Authored dissertation on interpretive models of Brazilian capital controls and political decision-making. Awarded 2011-2012 Charles J. Mauro academic scholarship for academic excellence.

Booked and allocated equities trades, managed IPO pot splits and transactions flows through global clearinghouses. Provided client service for hedge funds and institutional investors, managing average volume of $89m per day. Created MS Access program with manager to monitor trading data on key regulatory compliance issue. Offered full time position on multiple occasions; requested to return for a two-month stint following grad school.

The ONE Campaign is the advocacy arm of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As Congressional District Leader I devised and coordinated the advocacy strategy for my legislative district, spoke at town hall meetings and public events, and anchored an hour-long lobbying presentations to advisers to 5 members of US Congress on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Evaluated World Bank, IMF and USAID policy proposals and country strategies for Latin American nations. Produced talking points for senior officials, macroeconomic country briefs, daily market updates and news reports. Prepared and delivered daily oral briefings to senior Treasury staff on key international and domestic economic events.
