Dr. Michael Morgenstern founded Morgenstern Medical to help patients with sleep disorders through telemedicine. Dr. Morgenstern is a board certified neurologist and sleep medicine expert. Dr. Morgenstern has recently published a text book chapter on sleep apnea and presented on the diagnosis of sleep apnea and other sleep disorders at the 2014 American College of Chest Physicians national conference in Austin Texas. Dr. Michael Morgenstern is currently a house staff member and fellow in the department of medicine division of sleep medicine. Dr. Morgenstern's fellowship involves the diagnosis and treatments of sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep disordered breathing, hypersomnia, insomnia and parasomnias (e.g. sleep walking, sleep terrors).He is still actively involved in research including the application of technology to assist in the management of disease. Dr. Morgenstern is also involved in several trials involving sleep biology and innovative therapy for sleep medicine.

Dr. Morgenstern is actively involved in research that focuses on the development and application of artificially intelligent diagnostic technology to aid in the management of disease.Along with his research team, Dr. Morgenstern aims to help identify sensitive and specific predictors, associated features, and successful treatments of different types of headaches including migraine, tension and cluster headaches.Dr. Morgenstern's work will also contribute to research to help identify criteria that can be applied to headache surveys to guide physicians in the management of headaches.Recently, Dr. Morgenstern and his research team have begun work to create artificially intelligent diagnostic tools to help aid in the diagnosis and reduce morbidity and mortality related to sleep disorders. Using these tools, Dr. Morgenstern's research will focus on sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, narcolepsy and common symptoms including snoring and excessive daytime sleepiness.

Dr. Michael Morgenstern was a Medical Resident for Mount Sinai Medical School at Queens Hospital Center part of HHC. Dr. Morgenstern completed his internship at this city hospital and has since transferred to complete his residency training in Neurology at North Shore LIJ affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Hofstra Medical School.
