With a career spanning over 25 years in the accountancy sector, I have worked as an Audit Partner at UNW for the past fourteen years and spent thirteen fulfilling years at Deloitte in Newcastle where I led their Entrepreneurial Business Team in the later years. My portfolio is diverse, encompassing entrepreneurial, privately owned, and PE-backed businesses as well as subsidiaries of overseas owned groups. Throughout my career, I have focused not only on meeting the needs and requirements of businesses I work with but also on understanding and supporting the business owners and individuals themselves. The client-centric approach has been the cornerstone of my work as well as delivering expertise that adds real value for my clients.Outside of work, I am a passionate athlete, with interests ranging from football (a proud NUFC season ticket holder since 1992) to competing in 70.3 triathlons and the occasional IronMan across Europe. My triathlon exploits include finishing 6th (2023) and 7th (2014) in the World Championships, 6th in the Europeans Championships in 2019 and winning the Middle East Championships in November 2022. However, spending time with my wife and three wonderful daughters exploring the world is where I relax the most.

I spent 14 enjoyable years at UNW where I was Head of Audit and Assurance in the later years working on many 'profile' businesses across the North East and Cumbria. UNW are one of the largest independent firms within the North East of England based in Newcastle City Centre.
