Michael Moskowitz is a seasoned Human Resources professional having worked in healthcare, telecom, education, technology, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors exclusively in San Diego since 1981, He has earned the trust of C-suite executives, department directors and managers, and front-line employees with his knowledge, skills and abilities. Michael started his career with Kaiser Permanente’s corporate Personnel Development Center and subsequently assumed the role of Staff Education and Development Manager with the University of California San Diego. He continued as Director of Employee Relations and Training with Mercy Hospital and then Director of Human Resources with Sharp Cabrillo Hospital. Michael transitioned to the telecommunications sector as Director of Human Resources with PacTel Cellular which subsequently became AirTouch Cellular and then Verizon. He also served as HR Manager with NextWave Telecom.Michael left the telecom industry and started his own consulting firm, working with clients such as AT&T Enhanced Network Services, Alvarado Hospital, The Scripps Research Institute, Sanyo North America, CliniComp International, Signal Pharmaceutical, Advanced BioHealing, Buck Knives, Dimension One Spas, Tachyon, Inc., Bidland Systems, Elemental Software, TruSolution Computers and Nitto Denko Technical Corporation. Michael also consulted with the non-profit Chicano Federation.Michael returned to a corporate role as HR Director with Precision Hearing and then as HR Director with Md7, a telecommunication services company. He has since returned to his current HR consultant role.In addition to his corporate experience, Michael taught "Training and Development" in the University of California San Diego Extension Certificate Program, teaching more than 1500 students during his tenure. He also taught "Introduction to HR Management" at the University of Phoenix and "HR Management" with California State University San Marcos. Michael was an Examiner with the Baldrige National Quality Program and was a session presenter at Training Magazine’s 35th Annual Training Conference and Expo. He designed and conducted a research study titled "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training: A Case Study" published in the 2010 Pfeiffer Annual Training Manual. Michael is the author of a textbook titled "A Practical Guide to Training and Development – Assess, Design, Deliver and Evaluate" published by John Wiley and Sons. Michael holds a B.A. and M.A. degree in Psychology.
