My construction experience includes projects such as a Duchy of Cornwall development, old flour mill, public house, complete 5 bedroom rebuild, and assorted historical properties. Any work I undertake is performed to the highest standards.Having learned all the trades in domestic construction such as carpentry, brick and stonework, electrical, plumbing, tiling, roofing and decoration, I can communicate with the workforce with a deeper understanding of how each discipline interacts with each other. This reduces waste of time and materials, to meet financial budgets and time-frames easier.My computer skills are excellent, especially in Excel which I use for all record keeping, calculations and analysis. Areas where this is particularly useful are accounting/payroll, quantity surveying, stock control, planned maintenance and staff training.I am also proficient in Microsoft Planner, Word, SharePoint and Sketchup.I can create manuals, procedures, work instructions, risk assessments and associated record keeping of tasks performed, with an understanding of regional interpretations.After moving to Union Island in 2021, I understand the challenges of local culture and have been successful in training staff to increase the quality and output of work undertaken.My belief is that people and teamwork are the most important part of any organisation and with the right leadership can add labour value.
