Responsible for the organisation's revenue and expenditure tracking, monitoring and supervision. Receiving and master receipting of daily collectables whilst signing off on all expenditures before payments are made and ensuring that all controls and measures are complied with in all transactions. Assist other departments in drawing up and compiling departmental budgets as well as consolidating the entire organisational budget. Using the Sage Accounting system to record and track all expenditures and budgets, linking receipts and expenditures to their relevant invoices and ensuring financial compliance to all statutory provisions. Managing debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collection of amounts due using client specific collection approaches whilst simultaneously timely honouring the organisation’s debts. Drawing up account reconciliations for cash and bank transactions on a weekly basis.

As the Chief Finance Officer for a non-governmental network, I managed and operated annual budgets in excess of $250, 000.00. I had the responsibility of designing and implementing internal financial control and measures and ensuring that there was compliance with the Financial Procedures Manual. Forecasting, financial reporting, budgeting and reconciliations of periodic transactions made part of my core duties.

I was responsible for assisting the assistant treasurer in preparing annual and periodical budgets and revisions, drawing up financial statements and preparing for the organisational audit.My main duties were:- Checking and updating cashbook transactions. - Creating periodical financial reports. - Carrying out daily system backups and updates. - Responsible for the organisation’s audit wing. - Advising the assistant treasurer on potential investment opportunities and evaluating proposed projects.
