I maintained a wide ranging common law practice. I represented clients on a daily basis at Magistrates, Crown, County and High Court, as well as at the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and the Social Security Tribunal. In particular I specialised in crime, regulatory crime, housing, public law and civil litigation. I also developed a niche party wall practice. I was appointed to the management board of my old chambers as membership and pupillage secretary, with significant responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the pupillage system and the on-boarding of new tenants.

I worked as a paralegal for a prominent public sector housing management company. My responsibilities included: presenting possession claims and resisting applications to suspend warrants of eviction in the county court. Issuing proceedings, drafting pleadings and witness statements. Making written applications to the court to issue warrants and fix dates for possession. Instructing counsel and bundle preparation. Providing legal advice and support for income and tenancy officers. I also gained experience of disrepair, homelessness and welfare litigation.
