As Audit Manager, I am involved in all aspects of leading and delivering audit engagements, from planning through to completion on a broad spectrum of Corporates clients. The role also includes executive level client interaction and exposure to multiple clients on an annual basis, as well as daily tasks such as:- Leading a field work team including supervising and coaching more junior members of staff to help them reach their full potential.- Reporting to audit Partners and Directors on all salient points arising from audits.- Planning and execution of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting across a portfolio of clients.- Project management of all aspects of audit including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings, and supervision and delivery of audit work.- Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects, focusing on optimising profitability.- Identifying, researching and helping to resolve complex audit issues.- Preparing client deliverables, building relationships with the client staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm.- Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our business.- Working on audit tenders and working as part of the relevant independence team on these tenders. - In addition, I do also work on specific audit related projects across the audit function.

In my role as mobile lending and analytics manager, the following are my key responsibilities;• Manage development of virtual lending management information and analytics.• Manage the virtual lending platform portfolio profitability, growth and risks on an ongoing basis. Ensuring compliance with group credit policy, local banking regulations, credit frameworks and product plan.• Co-ordinate and provide various inputs and responses on overall impairments, forecasting and analytics to stakeholders. • Ensuring quality mobile lending portfolio is achieved.

In my role as manager, the following are my key responsibilities; • Manage a portfolio of clients including supervising and coordinating audit teams in providing various assurance services to clients • Manage communication and agreeing timetables with external clients. Ensuring that all agreed deliverables are provided within the required deadlines • Provide adequate support to directors and partners in providing assurance services to clients • Managing cost and engagement efficiencies of the PwC Zambia Office in order to ensure profitable audit engagements. • Proactively assisting in the management of several clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above. • Training and leading staff while establishing effective working relationships directly with clients. • Contributing to my development of my teams technical acumen and keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues. • Actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new and existing clients.

In my role as senior associate, the following were my key responsibilities; • Delivering audit services to a variety of clients of all sizes, providing an excellent opportunity to embed both my project management and leadership skills. • Responsible for ensuring PwC deliver the highest standards of service to their clients from engagement planning, day-to-day supervision of the audit team, client liaison through to audit completion.

In my role as a Senior Associate, the following were my key responsibilities; • Reviewing audit work to ensure it is in line with acceptable accounting and auditing standards • Preparation and presentation of reports. These presentations were made to both internal and external stakeholders • Preparation and presentation of internal control reports to clients highlighting deficiencies and providing recommendations • Leveraging relationship with client and expertise of colleagues in the firm to provide opportunities for further work where appropriate • Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance of engagements. Report results to the engagement leader clearly and efficiently. • Develop methods of improving profitability on projects by leveraging technology and through precise planning and coordination • To undertake non-audit, consultancy and other value adding engagements. • To undertake and participate in business development activities • Provide audit and accounting advice on complex financial instruments

My key responsibilities in this role involved; - Being a team leader on short-term audit and non-audit assignments (projects). - Being a team member on a number of different clients spanning different industrial groups such as public sector (including NGOs), banking, insurance, manufacturing and trading.
