Partner in farm specializing in growing early generation foundation seed potatoes for growers in Western New York and Pennsylvania. The farm grows out mini-tubers produced in greenhouses and labs until Field Year 2-4. All seed is verified through the New York State Seed Certification Program, which requires two in-season inspections during the growing season and a winter test in Hawaii to certify that seed meets or exceeds quality standards.

Responsible for raising and caring for my own herd of beef cattle and growing alfalfa to sell as dry hay. Duties include making hay, daily chores, crop management and maintenance such as fencing and herd health. Market the final products to consumers while managing the other aspects of the business such as finances and public relations.

Help market their Helena Product Groups (HPGs) that are trademarked by the company to growers/farmers by conducting various trials. Analyzed the results from the trials to help evaluate the products and then follow-up with the farmer for possible more product use or recommendations for the product. Interacted with the growers as well as other industry companies that Helena Chemical sells their products as well. Gained knowledge in the precision agriculture, seed, chemical, and fertilizer aspects of the business while learning more about building customer relationships.

Scouted potatoes, corn, and alfalfa and interacted with farmers to improve their spray programs. In charge of 80 acre product trial dealing with a foliar feeding program.
