Experienced Senior Authorised Person with over 20 years experience in HV systems, up to >20kv cables and plant and >11kv overhead and underground networks and 33kv SAP UPS on DNO networks.I began my career as an electrician and later transitioned into roles as a Building Services Electrical and Mechanical Project Engineer before moving into electricity distribution networks. My journey in the industry has seen me take on various challenging roles, culminating in my decision to become self-employed in 2012 with the establishment of Distribution Network Engineering Services Ltd (DNES) UK, which was later rebranded to Powertec Utilities Ltd in 2021, successfully collaborating with multiple contractors on a wide range of projects. I have gained extensive experience working in all relevant business streams on both overhead and underground networks, which has provided me with the platform to hone my skills in managing, maintaining, and operating complex high voltage networks, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards. My career has taken me all over the UK, making me well accustomed to travel. I am eager to broaden my knowledge and career by entering the renewables sector, particularly the offshore/ onshore wind farm arena and am fully GWO certified. I am always committed to continuous professional development and staying abreast of technological advancements in the field.
