Permanent radiographer with I-MED Radiology Network based in Rockhampton. Here, I perform x-ray, DEXA, OPG, CT, cath lab and theatre procedures. Shortly after beginning this role I was appointed Radiation Safety Officer, and student clinical supervisor for the Rockhampton/Yeppoon region. Recently I have been promoted to the Chief Radiographer role at I-MED.

During my time at RDH, I was predominantly rostered in general x-ray, as well as the emergency department. I developed my trauma x-ray and fluoroscopy/DSA skills, and additionally had time in the PACS department, learning how to operate the back-end of the PACS software.

I received an I-MED Radiology Network scholarship to complete my 4th yearresidency in Darwin. Over this 1 year residency, I developed my X-ray, OPG, DEXA, fluoroscopy and theatre skills. Furthermore, I spent time in the CT suite learning routine scanning.

Currently a full-time student studying a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science. Throughout this course i have found many transferable skills from my vast past experience. Above all else, the degree aligns with my interests, and values.

• Aiding in search and rescue operations for missing persons, etc.
• Collaborating with lifeguards and Surf Life Saving central command to keep the public safe on the beach.
• Communicating with the public extensively – both in an authorative (beach closures due to shark sightings)and casual manner (public figure to promote the drone program).
• As a senior first-aid certificate holder, I also help the public in minor problems on the beach such as bluebottle stings, cuts, etc.Mentor and train inexperienced pilots to operate equipment in a safe and effective.

Throughout the next ten years, I continued on the BMW Group career development plan, which culminated in receiving BMW Master Technician Certification in 2014. This also included training in the effective mentoring of apprentices and technicians.In this role my duties included the repair of BMW Automobiles, from basic servicing through to advanced computer.

Learning to be an efficient and effective BMW Automobile Technician was completed during these four years. My apprenticeship concluded with myself attaining a Light Vehicle Mechanical trade certificate, and receiving BMW Registered Technician Certification.

Casual job while I was at school. Duties included dish washing, food preparation and kitchen cleaning. This job taught me the importance of teamwork and goal setting from a young age.
