Pastoral Support Officer - Responsibility for improving attendance, punctuality and behaviour of pupils across both key stage 3 and 4. Being the link between the pupils, home and their subject teachers/heads of year. Dealing with Child Protection issues.Lead on a pupil coaching initiative, training and developing a group of non-teaching members of staff to deliver pupil coaching for year 10 pupils.Assistant Pastoral Leader - Working collectively with the Pastoral Leader to tackle issues around behaviour, attendance, punctuality and standards. Leading a group of year form tutors, delivering assemblies, meeting with parents and carers, monitoring reports.Nurture - Working under the guidance of the SENCO, co-ordinator for Nurture Provision across the whole school and only full-time member of staff in the Nurture Group. Undertaking the Boxall Profile on Nurture pupils, identifying targets for pupils, delivering BESD activities and feeding information back to staff.

Initially as a teaching assistant. Supporting the teaching and learning of all pupils across the school (key stage 3 and 4). Key worker for a group of pupils, being the link between home, mainstream school and PRU.Pupil mentor. Developing and leading on a pupil mentoring initiative across the school. Undertaking initial baseline assessments on new starters to the school (Maths, English, Attitude to School Survey and target setting) and delivering the information to all school staff.Outreach worker. Working in mainstream high schools in the Hyndburn area delivering a range of programmes to individuals and groups who are at risk of exclusion or struggling socially or emotionally.

Group Leader of the weekly 5-11 club - planning, delievering and evaluating the sessions. Also, recruiting and supporting 13-16 year old volunteers to support with the delivery of the club, and helping them work towards their youth work awards.Responsibility for the upkeep and maintainance of the centre. Ensuring provision and resources for all activities were available.
